Carondelet Branch Library Michigan Avenue (6800) Ernst Preisler
This attractive Classical Revival building was designed in 1908 as the second Carnegie branch in the St. Louis Public Library system.
The building's architect was Ernst Preisler who was born in Prague and trained at the Imperial Technicum in Vienna. Preisler also designed twelve houses in the Compton Heights neighborhood.
