Third Olympic Games

The third Olympic Games were held in St. Louis in 1904 during the World’s Fair. Events were scheduled from May 1 through November 23, 1904.  This was the first time the Olympics were held in the United States.

Twelve countries were represented, although the majority of athletes were from the U.S. and Canada.  Athletes entered as individuals or as members of a club.  They did not compete for their country.
