Olympic events at the 1904 World's Fair included many classes of competitions held between May-November.
In addition to the third Olympic Games and Anthropology Day events held in August and September, there were interscholastic meetings open to Missouri schoolboys, intercollegiate meetings, German Turner (turvereins) exercises in calisthenics, tennis and golf tournaments and fencing contests.
The exhibition of Turners included 3280 men and women of all ages from twenty-nine U.S. and European societies. It included both individual and mass shows of gymnastics demonstrating progress in physical culture in the areas of agility, skill, and strength.
